- Food Fanily and I ordered Bone-in Sliced Fish and Live Fish menu item, which came with many side dishes for us to enjoy. Select favorites were the oden and katsudon. Best to come in on an empty stomach because you will be eating a lot! The live fish platter was nicely presented and had nice texture. It is served with sesame leaves and lettuce for you to wrap the fish in with soybean paste. - Service Very attentive service, cleaned the finished dishes in timely manner. There are a lot of separate plates so space management is key. We were glad to have good service. - Ambiance Quaint and small shop with cute lanterns above. There is a fishtank as well where they keep the live fish and other critters (abalone, eels, etc). In the back is the sushi chef. There is a bathroom as well.

Fresh Sashimi plate prepared with thick quality food. Each piece cut with care and they just melt in your mouth. Amazing spot! If you really want to enjoy quality sashimi. Dont hesitate. Check the photo...

Delicious seafood and super fresh! It was my very first time try the live octopus sashimi, and it was kinda fun and exotic. Their sashimi was one of the best I’ve ever had in NYC, and the whole restaurant atmosphere made me feel like as if I was in Jeju island in Korea!

The food is so great. Since I moved to the neighborhood this year I never tried it before the new ownership but I'm so glad I got to come with the current owner. Just awesome quality of everything from the sides to the sashimi. If you want to leave a restaurant satisfied and full, come here (:

I used to go to the other place for sashime bit found out that it was permanently closed so we tried this place for the first time. 5 of us had a nice early dinner. The server was super attentive and friendly. The quality and freshness of sashimi was superb. The quantity was more than what we can consume for dinner. The best dish served was 매운탕 which I dont have the picture uploaded. We will go back to try other dishes they have.

I've been a loyal customer of this establishment for quite some time, and recently, I noticed a significant change – it's now under new ownership. This revelation was evident in the complete transformation of the food quality. I had heard about the renowned chef Hoon, who has garnered a stellar reputation in the Flushing area. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that he now leads this establishment. I decided to explore the menu and tried the Live Fish Sushi Set, Live Octopus, Udon Noodle, and Crab Soup. To be perfectly honest, it's been years since I've tasted Korean-style sushi this remarkable. The last time I had such a culinary experience was during my time in Korea, over 15 years ago. It was a nostalgic moment to rediscover flavors from my youth. While Dok Do Ya on Northern Blvd is certainly commendable, Jeju Island's offerings surpass it in taste. For those unfamiliar with Korean sushi, it presents a wholly different and delightful experience compared to its Japanese counterpart. Once you savor the dishes here, you'll find it hard to return to traditional Japanese sushi. You have my utmost assurance on this.

The best best korean sashimi I’ve ever tried. Fishes are so fresh and many new things. We tried the set. Highly recommended. But many good though, be prepared

I had the pleasure of visiting this newly opened restaurant, and I was genuinely impressed by the owner's warm welcome and attentive service. The enticing array of tsukidashi whetted my appetite, and the fresh raw fish was a delightful treat. Every dish, including the spicy stew, was executed perfectly, making it a memorable dining experience that I look forward to sharing with friends on future visits.
